Love Island contestant Haris Namani reportedly leaving show after fight video emerges | Ents & Arts News

A Love Island contestant is said to have left the show after a video emerged showing him getting into a fight in the street and hitting a man to the ground.

Haris Namani, a 21-year-old TV salesman from Doncaster, will be the second islander to leave the show if he leaves the mansion.

One love island A spokesperson told Sky News: “We will never comment on dumping or programming to avoid spoiling the show for viewers.”

On Monday, cellphone footage showing Namani fighting in the street was posted by The Sun.

In the video, Namani, also a boxer, can be seen fighting the man, hitting him once in the face, before the man tripped and was then knocked down with a second blow.

A man filming the fight can be heard saying: “Keep going, Haris”.

After hitting the man a second time, Haris shouted: “I’m not a bully, I’m not a bully, for my mother’s life.”

First shared on Snapchat, it is understood to have been filmed on a night out in Haris’ hometown of Doncaster, South Yorkshire last year.

Speaking before joining the show, Namani described himself as never in love and said his mother said he looked like Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.

Last week on the show, Namani got into an argument with contestant Shaq Muhammad, an airport security officer, and the two yelled at each other until the others intervened to calm things down.

Before this year’s show, ITV announced new welfare measures to support contributors before, during and after filming.

The changes came after the islanders before Mike thalassitis26, and Sophie Gradon32 years old, took his own life after appearing on the show.

New care protocols include enhanced behavior training and extensive measures to protect islanders from the adverse effects of social media and potential negative handling.

A minimum of eight therapy sessions is offered to each islander when they return home.

For the first time this year, all the contestants had to suspend their social media accounts during their stay at the villa.
