Donna Barton Brothers Will Moderate BLC’s Derby Handicapping Society Horsephotos
The Backside Learning Center (BLC) will be hosting the “Mastery Owners Derby with Disabilities Society” at the Louisville Thoroughbred Society on Thursday, April 14 from 5pm to 7pm. The event, sponsored by Rocket Ship Racing, LLC, will be a launch for the BLC Purses for a Purpose initiative, in which owners can invest directly in key role workers. important to the racing industry. Through Purses for a Purpose, owners can commit to donating customizable portions of their horses’ winnings, with funds going directly into programming at BLC.
The evening will also feature a Derby 2022 handicap panel with a panel consisting of Caton Bredar, Joe Kristufek and Brandon Stauble. Donna Barton Brothers will moderate and Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale will be the special guest. There’s also a cigar bar and bourbon raffle, with free Crushed Ice Catering appetizers and drinks.
