Camelot, the company behind the National Lottery, has revealed the top winning professions and the asterisks of those jackpots, as well as the most and least drawn numbers.
According to data from Camelot, if you are a builder or a teacher – you have a higher chance of winning the National Lottery, with the top jobs being the luckiest occupations of 2022.
Following them are drivers, retail staff and administrative staff on the list.

Yes – according to the company, Cancer is the luckiest sign for players in 2022.
This is also good news for Leo and Aries people, as they are the second lucky signs together.
Some tips when you’re picking numbers – 39 comes up most times in jackpot winning combinations, reels 17 times, followed by 21, 13, 50 and 58.
However, the number to avoid based on this year’s data is 8 – a number drawn only 5 times.
In the last year, 375 players have become millionaires – a rate of more than one per day, sharing a whopping £1.3 billion between them.
The winners of the biggest national lottery ever were crowned this year on May 10, with Joe and Jess Thwaite from Gloucestershire Bank £184 million on Euromillions.
However, their record was quickly broken, when a Anonymous player wins £195m on Euromillions in July.
In total, more than £4.5 billion have been paid out, with 782 players winning themselves at least £50,000.

A total of around £47 billion has been raised for good causes across the UK from the lottery – £1.9 billion of which comes from 2022.
