‘Lord of the Rings: Gollum’ delayed a month before launch


Daedalic Entertainment has delayed Lord of the Rings: Gollum a just over five weeks before it’s released on September 1. The studio took to Twitter on Monday to announce that it will need more time to finish the game. “In order to provide the best possible experience, we have decided to accelerate the release Lord of the Rings: Gollum after a few months,” Daedalic said. The studio did not share a new release date but promised to do so “in the near future”.

First published in with the 2021 release deadline, Daedalic has finally pushed the game back early last year. It shared a September 1 release date earlier in . Set in the early chapters of The fellowship of the ringDaedalic is paying Gollum as a “sneaky cinematic adventure.” Part of the game involves navigating a narrative system that reflects Gollum’s dual personality. When the game finally launches, it will be available on PlayStation 4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
