Looney Tunes Extends Racing to Hot Wheels Launching This July

Hot Wheels Unleashed will be getting some content soon including some new vehicles and tracks. In a new partnership with Warner Bros., Looney Tunes will become a high-octane toy racer in July.

A short trailer introduces the ACME warehouse, and as the camera pans, we hear the narrative audio of Roadrunner and Wile E. Coyote before they give chase in car form on the Hot Wheels track. The Looney Tunes expansion contains five new Tune-flavored cars, a themed track-building module, themed profiles and basement customization items, plus the Looney Tunes Adventure Park environment to travel everywhere. The adventure park features four different themed environments, one of which is a desert area to recreate your own Roadrunner and Wile E. chases.

Hot Wheels released a set of six physical Looney Tunes cars in 2017, with two of the cars featured in the trailer being the middle of the bunch. Others unpublished from that series include Bugs Bunny, Taz the Tazmanian Devil, Marvin the Martian, and Daffy Duck. If I were a bettor, I would assume the other three cars would also come from these remaining four collectibles.

The Looney Tunes expansion will launch on July 14 and can be purchased as a piecemeal DLC for Hot Wheels Unleashed but also tied to the upcoming Hot Wheels Pass episode. 3 (available for purchase June 9), which includes more vehicles, customizations, and the Track Building Module.
