On 9 April 2021, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and husband of Queen Elizabeth II passed away at the age of 99. He is the longest serving royal in world history.
Platinum Jubilee
On 6 February this year (2022), the Queen of England became the first British monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom.
Last moments
On Tuesday, September 6, Conservative Party leader Liz Truss was officially appointed Britain’s new Prime Minister by Queen Elizabeth II, becoming the country’s third female prime minister.
Two days later, the Queen was under medical supervision and doctors expressed concern about her health.
