Logie Awards 2022: Hamish Blake wins pokies with best mate Andy Lee

He won the Golden Logie Award for Favorite Character on Australian Television at the Logie Awards on Sunday night.
And Hamish Blake couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate his victory than splashing on pokies with his best mate Andy Lee.
The Lego Masters presenter, 40, shared a photo on Instagram of the pair standing in front of the slot machines at The Star Gold Coast while he proudly held his golden statuette.

Hamish later shared a photo of himself in bed with the statue after returning to the hotel and captioned it: ‘Great night, you can sleep here a great mate.’
He also joked that his Gold Logie was hoping to end the night in Sonia Kruger’s room.

Hamish’s next Logies Instagram update is that he’s eating Red Rooster with ABC stars Tony Armstrong and Costa Georgiadis on Monday morning.
He was on the show Golden Diaries against host I’m Celebrity Julia Morris, MasterChef judge Melissa Leong, present day host Karl Stefanovic, Seven Sonia Kruger host, comedian Tom Gleeson and Home and Away star Ray Meagher.
During his acceptance speech, Hamish joked that his Gold Logie counts as three because none were awarded in 2019 and 2020.

He also won the award in 2012 and said he technically has four Golden Logies.
The Channel Nine character thanked his wife, Zoë Foster Blake, and his two children, son Sonny and daughter Rudy.
‘My beautiful wife, this is – you can’t stand up here unless you have great people behind you. You’re the coolest of the bunch,’ he said.

“But I know they will see this movie tomorrow when I put them on YouTube,” Hamish joked.
‘So it’s nice for my kids to win awards. But the biggest prize is being your dad. You are the most important person. ‘
He concluded: ‘If you are watching this, you are an amnesiac and also a supporter of TV Australia and we would not be here without you.
“So thank you to those at home.”
