Electric two-wheeler maker LML is gearing up for the launch of its first Star electric scooter in India. Ahead of the launch, the EV maker has announced that it will set up up to 50 dealerships across India to get ready for its upcoming models. During Auto Expo 2023, LML revealed that the Star electric scooter, the first model of the manufacturer since the rebirth, will be launched in the second half of this year. LML has started accepting Star bookings.
Upcoming LML dealers will be part of the company’s first phase of expansion. Agents were planned under the Dealer-Owned Agent (DODO) model, which would hold the agent accountable as the owner as well as operator of their experience centers. manufacturer of EVs. LML calls the Star a ‘midsize scooter’. The electric scooter looks quite futuristic with a black and white two-tone theme along with red accents. It will come with LED projector headlights along with LED daytime running lights. The scooter will also come with a 360-degree camera, haptic feedback and LED lights.
The LML Star comes with many unique features that differentiate it from other electric scooters currently being sold in the Indian market. It has a custom display right behind the front apron. It will also offer wireless charging, ambient lighting and a digital display. Other features offered will be a tire pressure monitoring system, hill keep assist, reverse mode and ABS. The electric scooter will also offer ample storage under the seat while the removable battery pack will be placed in the footrest to help lower the center of gravity.
LML has yet to reveal details about the battery’s size and specifications. There are no details on the type of range that LM Star will offer. Details about the scooter are expected to be revealed in the coming months ahead of the official launch.
