There’s a heavyweight bout in doubles, because WBA champion wrestling giant Daniel Dubois will have his first title defense against South African Kevin Lerena.

Berinchyk was part of the Class of 2012 of Ukraine alongside Vasiliy Lomachenko and Oleksandr Usyk, winning a silver medal at the London Olympics. Renowned for his spectacular stunts, Berinchyk even tried his hand at hand-to-hand boxing, where he defeated former UFC fighter Artem Lobov by TKO.
Berinchyk explains: “In March, I had to stop my boxing activities and join the team of volunteers helping our troops and people in hot spots. “We have been to many places very close to the front. It’s not easy going back to the gym after everything, but I understand that Ukrainians need all kinds of victories, so I couldn’t miss the opportunity to raise the Ukrainian flag in the European ring.”
For his part, Mendy is hoping that Berinchyk will hit it again after being frustrated by slick dribbles in previous big teamfights.
“I have five points to lose,” Mendy said. “Three of my opponents competed in World Championship matches. Campbell, Postol and Tatli. These three fighters beat me on points, at home and by running for the entire match.”
Two of Queensberry’s Blue Chip prospects are also on the cards, with teen prodigy Royston Barney-Smith (3-0, 1) taking his fourth in the fourth quarter against Nicaraguan Cruz Perez (3-3- 1, 1), called ‘The pitbull’. Future lightweight Karol Itauma (8-0, 6) has his ninth professional match against Slovakian Vladimir Belujsky (12-5-1, 8) – AKA Big Bad Vlad – who is based in Ireland.
Barney-Smith said: “It was amazing, I couldn’t ask for more from my promoter and manager Frank. “He’s getting me into these top shows and is also doing a great job promoting me and getting my name out there.”
“I am so lucky and grateful for the opportunities I have been given,” Itauma added. “Honestly, two Tyson Fury cards in a year is a blessing and I would take the opportunity with both hands.”
Tyson Fury’s teammates Isaac Lowe (21-2-3, 6) and Hosea Burton (27-3, 12) completed the game in six rounds in super featherweight and cruiser class, respectively.
