Lions roar in battles with victory Criterium de Saint-Cloud

Via Sean Cronin
Ahmad Al Shaikh’s Dubai Miles (Ire) (Roaring Lion – Beach Bunny {Ire}, of High Chaparral {Ire}) assisted wins at Windsor and Kempton in August with a second half-time in G2 Royal Lodge S. at Newmarket last month and moved forward to score a definite success in Saturday’s G1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud, becoming the first Group 1 winner from his own boar’s only crop (by Kitten’s Joy). Chance 49-10 was quick to hit and take the lead in the early sections of this 10-point test. Heading the home leg, he came under pressure at the top of the line to regain a slim advantage over the quarter-mile mark and was knocked out in the closing stages to deny the British opponent. Arrest (Ire) (Frankel {GB}) with his head after a back and forth argument, the six-length duo is clearly above the rest due to Adelaide River (Ire) (Australia {GB}).
