Life Uncut returns after co-host Brittany Hockley was targeted by troll villains

It’s been a rough few weeks for Brittany Hockley after she was trolled online by people who left a series of one-star reviews on her podcast calling her a ‘selfish person’.

However, iHeartPodcast Network’s Life Uncut appears to be back according to Media Week on Thursday.

After an impressive performance last month, Brittany, 33, and her co-host Laura Byrne took five spots in the rankings to number five.

Life Uncut is arguably the biggest women’s podcast in Australia.

But despite the show’s popularity, disgruntled listeners and trolls have recently turned away from host Brittany with a wave of negative, one-star reviews.

“I’m an OG listener but can’t listen to this podcast anymore due to Britt,” said one person angrily. ‘It seems like it’s become a common thing to read other reviews left by listeners.’

“Very disappointing,” wrote another. ‘I didn’t feel happy when the podcast was directed. Britt has become unbelievably selfish, as she takes on every episode, acting like her perspective and life experiences are above all others. ‘

Despite the backlash from trolls, the majority of Life Uncut’s listeners left rave reviews with praise for the podcast and its hosts.

“You know a great podcast when you’re 3 years late and in the span of a few months almost caught up by binge-listening,” one person commented.

‘Completely disagree with the comments about Britt. Of course, she ties the themes back to her own experience, which is to let listeners understand the content in a real-life scenario,’ another fan said.

‘It’s also a way of showing emotional intelligence – when someone is sharing their experience, they feel empathy and understanding from the audience as they can relate to them.’

Brittany and co-host Laura Byrne have become two of Australia’s biggest media personalities since the moment they joined The Bachelor.

Life Uncut has also been picked up by KIIS FM and made it a national radio show, and in October Brittany and Laura will release their first book.

The self-help tome, titled We Love Love: An Unfiltered A to Z of Modern Romance, will address various dating topics, such as ghosts and long-distance relationships.
