Liam Payne was a proud owner when his horse Titanium Z competed at the Royal Windsor Horse Show

Liam Payne enjoyed a day at the Royal Windsor Horse Show on Sunday when his horse, Titanium Z, competed on the show.

The 28-year-old beamed with pride as he stopped for a few moments with jumper Joe Stockdale, who was competing on horseback in the U25 competition.

The One Direction star has owned Titanium, who is also known as Tommy, since 2019 and has previously admitted to having a passion for the sport.

Liam created a series of photos with the stallion and Joe, son of the late top athlete Tim Stockdale.

Wearing a simple black knit top and wide leg pants, the male singer shook Joe’s hand as he prepared to board the car.

Also following his Instagram, the pair snap a big smile – with Liam saying it’s been a ‘wonderful morning’.

He then shared a video as he watched Titanium and Joe compete from the sidelines, keeping his eyes firmly on the pair as he leaned over the railing.

Liam nodded in agreement to the performance with the caption “Titanium looks good”.

When purchasing the horse, Liam worked with show dancer Yazmin Pinchen, who sourced him and rode him in numerous competitions.

Yazmin has now moved away from the fanfare to focus on family, with Liam’s horse now working with Joe, as the sportsman recently got to know eight-year-old stallion Zangersheide in Italy – where he is we are playing.

According to Horse and Hound, Joe describes the opportunity as ‘exciting’: ‘I’ve only had him for a few weeks but he’s a fast learner and has improved so it’s going to be an exciting journey.’

Sunday marks the final day of the Royal Windsor Horse Show, which begins on Thursday.

The program includes events such as the Land Rover International Driving Grand Prix and a variety of display events.
