Over the past three years, the way we work has evolved and taken on new forms. Digital work tools like Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom are all constantly announcing new updates to better suit the hybrid workplace.

This week, the company’s digital solutions for operations gained another upgrade when Lenovo announced ThinkSmart View Plus, a standalone digital collaboration tool. The company announced the device along with its other digital solutions: ThinkSmart One, a wireless controller for ThinkSmart One and ThinkSmart Core.

The Lenovo Digital Controller has an Ethernet connection and can control compatible devices up to 100 meters away. Since the device has an HDMI port, there is no need for an extender or outlet at the meeting table.

ThinkSmart One is the best used Windows-based collaboration bar for meeting rooms and home offices. Containing 11th Gen Intel Core processors, it works to enhance video and audio quality for Microsoft Teams and Zoom meetings.

ThinkSmart One can elevate meetings with eight microphones equipped with noise and echo cancellation, 15-watt stereo speakers, and a built-in high-resolution camera.

ThinkSmart View Plus is built for hot table, phone booths, executive desks and home office use, according to Lenovo. It aims to increase employee productivity, flexibility, and collaboration. It’s like any other desktop, but equipped with Microsoft Teams for collaboration and organization.

Employees can connect their PCs to ThinkSmart View Plus and share their files so meeting participants can see the screens of both devices. Since Lenovo’s new product is ideal for hot desks, employees don’t have to worry about security issues as the device automatically erases their information.

ThinkSmart View Plus has Microsoft’s whiteboard app and included stylus for illustration. It has two 5W speakers, four microphones for more accurate audio, and a 4K IRGB camera with built-in safeguards.

For highly flexible employees, the ThinkSmart View Plus can be wall-mounted or operated in monitor mode for a traditional monitor feel. The device is powered by the Qualcomm QCS8250 SoC, a chip built for commercial and enterprise use.

With the purchase of ThinkSmart View Plus, customers can access three years of Lenovo Premium Support, which provides IT support. Customers will also receive one year of additional software and services, including Lenovo support for device setup, remote maintenance, and management software to help with software organization.

According to Lenovo, the ThinkSmart View Plus will be available in select markets by mid-2023 with prices starting at $2,345. The Lenovo ThinkSmart one will be available this month for $2,899 and the ThinkSmart One with IP controller will be available in the first quarter of this year starting at $3,100.
