Lennox’s Success for Bobby’s Kitten’s Sandrine

Jockey David Probert described Kirsten Rausing’s Sandrine (GB) (Bobby’s Kitten) as a “forgotten horse” following her success in Tuesday’s G2 World Pool Lennox S. at the Qatar Goodwood Festival, but G2 winner Duchess of Cambridge S. and winner Last year’s G3 Albany S. is back where she belongs now. Returning to form with the most recent third at G1 Falmouth S. at Newmarket on July 8, the 12-1 shot was always a delight to follow the lead quartet throughout the early stages. Widely distributed during the closing period as last year’s winner Kinross (GB) (King {GB}) had entered the track, the mixed breed dog trained by Andrew Balding went to the front first meters from the line and had a neck to spare there, with Pogo (Ire) (Zebedee {GB}) dropped to third place. “The [G1 Prix de la] Forecast is a golden target, maybe [G2] York City first,” Balding said.
