Legendary rock guitarist Jeff Beck, known for his work with the Yardbirds, has died aged 78.
A family statement posted on the musician’s official Twitter page read: “We share the news of Jeff Beck’s passing with deep and profound sadness.
“After suddenly contracting bacterial meningitis, he passed away peacefully yesterday.
“His family asks for privacy while they process this enormous loss.”
