Lauren Sánchez, Jeff Bezos’s fiancée, has a new family connection to Donald Trump
Florida isn’t just home to the so-called Mar-a-Lago Winter White House anymore: A new generation of MAGA offspring is also flocking to the Sunshine State to pursue their education. Lauren SanchezAmazon founder’s fiancee, Jeff Bezosannounced on Sunday that her son Evan Whitesell has committed to enroll at the University of Miami next fall to study business.
“My heart feels like it’s bursting” she wrote on her Instagram Storyshared a photo of Whitesell, the son she shares with her ex-husband Patrick Whitesellas a baby, wearing a tiny coat. “More than proud of you. Love you.”
Account @xrdscollegedecisions reshared the photo in their own grid post.
Whitesell, who has not publicly announced any political views, will have a year to learn before welcoming him Donald Trumpchildren and grandchildren of school: Kai Trumpniece of the president-elect, announced in August via Instagram that she had verbally committed to attend the school as part of their women’s golf team. The youngest Trump daughter is just 17 years old and in high school, so she won’t start school until fall 2026.
Kai, daughter of Trump’s eldest son Donald Trump Jr. and his ex-wife Vanessa Trumpas well as thank her parents for supporting her athletic journey, as well as her grandfather.
“I want to thank Grandad for giving me access to great courses and tremendous support,” she wrote as part of a lengthy Instagram caption about how she was “super excited” to study at school.
Although the Trump family’s attachment to Florida is well known, Bezos also bought several villas worth millions of dollars in Florida’s exclusive Indian Creek area earlier this year, reportedly plans to combine and renovate the properties, making him a future neighbor of Ivanka Trump And Jared Kushner. Bezos has had a poor relationship with Donald Trump in the past: In 2016, before he was elected for the first time, Trump promises Amazon will have ‘problems’ under his management. For my part, Bezos said in 2016 Vanity fair New Establishment Summit that Trump’s behavior “erodes our democracy” and said he would reserve a seat for Trump on one of his Blue Origin spacecraft, in case he was willing to fly immediately universe.
Then, in 2018, Trump accuses Amazon damaging both the United States Postal Service and the country’s economy; IN In 2019, Amazon filed a lawsuit accused Trump of blocking them from a $10 billion contract with the Department of Defense and accused him of using “DoD funds to pursue his own personal and political purposes.” new government contract signed with Amazon Web Services.
However, it looks like things could change between Trump and Bezos with the start of Trump’s second term. Bezos is controversial before the 2024 presidential election when he decided that Washington Post will not endorse a candidate; Bezos tweeted his congratulations Trump in election victory. “No country has a greater opportunity,” he wrote. “Wishing @realDonaldTrump success in leading and uniting the America we all love.”
Bezos is committed donated 1 million USD into Trump’s inauguration fund, and at an event last weekBezos said that he is “really optimistic during this time.” Mr. Trump “seems to be making a lot of efforts to cut regulations,” he said, offering to help with that. He shared that he thinks Trump has “evolved” over the past eight years. “What I see so far is that he is calmer than the first time – more confident, more stable,” Bezos he said.
He’ll find out in person on Wednesday, when he scheduled to meet Trump at Mar-a-Lago. Could the Florida sunshine and their family’s future shared school help thaw their sometimes frosty relationship ahead of Trump’s second term?
