Launched Vivo TWS 3, TWS 3 Pro with active noise cancellation up to 49 dB, Lossless audio support


Vivo TWS 3 and TWS 3 Pro, were launched by the Chinese smartphone maker on Tuesday alongside their flagship Vivo X90 series. Vivo’s next generation of true wireless headphones (TWS) offers improved noise cancellation on both models compared to its predecessors, the Vivo TWS 2 series. Both TWS 3 models all support Qualcomm’s aptX Lossless codec using a bit rate of 1.2 Mbps along with wideband speakers that cover audio in the 5Hz to 40kHz frequency range. The headset is equipped with a single 12.2mm driver with a 3-layer nano-synthetic diaphragm.

The newly launched Vivo TWS 3 is priced at CNY 500 (about Rs 5,750), while the price of the Vivo TWS 3 Pro model earbuds has been set at CNY 1000 (about Rs 11,500).

The Chinese smartphone maker’s next-generation TWS earbuds in the Vivo TWS 3 and Vivo TWS 3 Pro models are marked by an upgrade in noise cancellation levels compared to their predecessors. Vivo TWS 3 model features up to 48dB noise reduction, audio processing with frequencies up to 4,000Hz. Meanwhile, Vivo TWS 3 Pro models reduce noise by up to 49dB. The company also says the Pro model is designed to produce low distortion with a total harmonic distortion to noise (TNS+N) value of 0.002 percent or less.

According to Vivo, both earphones are equipped with 12.2 mm drivers with 3-layer nano composite diaphragm. They feature aptX Lossless support at a bit rate of 1.2 Mbps, which means they can be used to listen to high-quality audio tracks.

Vivo says the headset is capable of playing audio between 5Hz and 40kHz. In terms of connectivity, both models have support for Bluetooth 5.3 and LE Audio, which reduces latency to 55 milliseconds. The models also feature 360-degree spatial sound.

Vivo’s next-generation earbuds feature an original design equipped with an identical gadget that doubles as a pressure-sensitive panel, similar to OnePlus Buds Pro and Apple AirPods. You can squeeze the stem to stop and resume playback or swipe up and down to change the volume level like AirPods Pro (2022).

Other cool features on Vivo TWS 3 and Vivo TWS 3 Pro models include ANC noise level adjustments that are activated to match the user’s surroundings for enhanced voice recognition. of a person while someone is talking to the wearer.
