The Moto X40 was launched in China on Thursday as the Chinese smartphone maker’s latest X-series flagship smartphone. It is powered by Qualcomm’s brand new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, paired with up to 12 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. This smartphone features a 6.7-inch full-HD+ curved AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate. It has a 50-megapixel triple rear camera setup and a 60-megapixel selfie camera. It has received an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Motorola also unveiled Android 13-based MyUI 5.0 at its launch event on Thursday.

In terms of optics, the Moto X40 is equipped with a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) support. There’s also a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens and a 12-megapixel telephoto sensor on the back. In addition, the phone has a 60-megapixel selfie camera on the front.

It has a 4,600mAh battery that comes with support for 125W fast wired charging. Motorola claims that this smartphone can get 50 percent battery backup with a single 7-minute charge. Furthermore, the Moto X40 supports 15W wireless charging and 15W reverse charging.
