Airtel on Monday announced the launch of its fifth generation (5G) mobile service in Guwahati. The telecom company said that Airtel 5G Plus services will be made available to customers in phases as the carrier continues to build out its network and complete the rollout. The company says customers with 5G-enabled devices will enjoy the high-speed Airtel 5G Plus network at no additional charge until wider rollout.
The company currently operates on GS Road, at Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Dispur College, Ganeshguri, Christian Basti, Sree Nagar, Zoo Road, Lachit Nagar, Ulubari, Bhangagarh and Beltola and one number of other selected locations, the company said Airlines will strengthen its network making its services available citywide in the near future.
