Naughty dog has announced a Last of Us board game. The game developer is working with board game company Themeborne on the game, called The Last of Us: Escape the Dark.
Players work together to overcome challenges in a board game, similar to Themeborne’s other Escape the Dark games. The board game consists of illustrated black and white chapter cards, dice, and pieces.
The game, which supports 1-5 players, allows players to become Ellie, Joel, Tess, Billy, Tommy or Marlene as they “weave their own story of survival and companionship” by Themeborne.
“Gameplay involves the player making choices about the path to go and solving role-playing ‘chapter cards’ at familiar locations in video games, including Suburbs, Sewers, and the University. Survival will depend. relies on a tactical mix of item cards and custom dice for the company to indicate overcoming iconic threats, such as the Hunters and the Infected.
