Under one guise or another, Land Rover is now has given our lives for 75 years. And that seemed like a good enough excuse for the British automaker to create a limited edition Defender to celebrate 75 years of aggressive and powerful all-terrain vehicles.

Revealed today, the new Defender 75th Limited Edition use the latest generation Defender and add green, green and more green.

Outside, the first thing you notice is that new color. Land Rover calls this “grasmere green” and this is the first time shade has been used on the Defender.

In addition to this new blue bodywork, Land Rover is also equipped with matching color wheels. These 20-inch alloys also come with color-matched center caps.

But that’s not the only place you’ll find this new color. Inside, Land Rover has also given the dash on the dashboard a green coat, and there are green finishes on the doors. Lovely.

Honestly, it’s a great shade of green. It’s not too earthy, but it stands out without being too showy. Also, having the option of painting your wheels green is also neat. More cars should have color matching wheels.

In addition to the green color, Defender 75th Limited Edition also comes with several other creations. There are 75th anniversary engravings on the back and scattered throughout the car.

Under the hood, it is powered by a P400 Ingenium gas engine, and no Huge V8 sits at the top of the current range. With a smaller petrol engine fitted here, you get mild-hybrid technology thanks to its regenerative braking system.

As with all new Defenders, there are also a bunch of standard features in this special edition car. You get a 3D dome camera, terrain response software, LED lights, an 11.4-inch touchscreen, a pre-warning display, and built-in wireless charging.

Inside, you’ll also find seats upholstered in a fabric called “Robustec”, which Land Rover claims is “the sturdiest fabric available on the Defender”.

Land Rover will also get a folding fabric roof, heated seats and a heated steering wheel.

The price of the limited edition Defender will be announced soon. But when you’re calculating how much you need to save, keep in mind that the standard Defender with the same powertrain starts at $66,000.
