Kate and Justin Rose launched the Rose Ladies Open
Justin Rose and his wife Kate have extended their support for women’s golf with the debut of the Rose Ladies Open in the Ladies European Tour’s Access Series.
The event will take place at Brocket Hall in Hertfordshire from 23-25 September and offer a prize fund of €65,000, the largest this season on the LETAS track outside of the Finals.
The former world No. 1 and his wife feel the new 54-hole event is the next step in their commitment to the UK women’s game, following the success of the Rose Ladies Series since its launch in the UK. Covid-19 pandemic.
Kate and Justin Rose said: “Building on the success of the Rose Ladies Series, we want to continue to grow and develop the women’s professional game by creating this new tournament, as part of LET Access Series.
“Our motivation remains the same: we want to give female professionals more opportunities to compete; give them the opportunity to compete for larger prize pools; create opportunities to be seen and get the exposure they deserve, so that we can continue to work towards change and momentum for equality and help provide the pathway to the Tour Europe for the ladies.”

The Rose Ladies Series was created in 2020 to provide the opportunity to play during golf’s coronavirus shutdown, with eight events that year and 11 further tournaments taking place during the next campaign. After that, 5 more events were created over a 4-week period in April 2022 to allow players to prepare for the new season.
