LA Beverly Crest shooting kills at least 3 people, wounds 4 : NPR
LOS ANGELES — At least three people were killed and four others injured in a shooting in Los Angeles early Saturday morning,
This is at least the sixth time Mass shooting in California this month.
Sgt. Frank Preciado of the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the shooting happened just after 2:30 a.m. in Beverly Crest, an upscale Los Angeles neighborhood.
Of the seven people shot, four were standing outside. The three people killed were all in the same vehicle.
Their identities were not disclosed. The injured were taken to the hospital and are in critical condition.
Preciado said he has no information on what led to the shooting, or if it happened at a residence.
It is unclear whether the suspect or suspects are in custody.
Saturday’s early morning shooting follows the massacre at a discotheque in suburban Los Angeles last week that left 11 people dead and nine injured, and the shootings at two farms in Half Moon Bay that left seven people dead. died and 1 person was injured.
The killings have dealt a blow to the state, which has some of the nation’s strictest gun laws and the lowest gun death rates.
