The organization said on Thursday that Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving had been suspended for at least five games for “publishing a film containing extremely disturbing anti-hate”.
Irving “is not currently affiliated with the Brooklyn Nets,” as it has made several attempts over the past few days to help Irving understand the harmful effects of his words and actions through a joint committee. , the Nets said.

“We were very disappointed today, when given the opportunity in a media session, that Kyrie categorically refused to say that he had no anti-drug beliefs, nor to acknowledge the specific hate material in the film,” the team said. “It’s not the first time he’s had the opportunity – but failed – to clarify.”
The team said the suspension, without pay, lasts a minimum of five games and will be lifted when he “meets a set of objective remedial measures…”.
