An all-new KTM RC sports car with a parallel twin engine has been spotted testing overseas and is widely rumored to be the RC 990. The engine of this large displacement KTM RC sports car is rumored to be the RC 990. is expected to have a capacity of nearly 1,000cc and will be larger. , a remake of the 889cc engine found on KTM 890 Duke.

Parallel twin KTM RC sports car: design and ergonomics
The design of the shield on this parallel twin KTM sportbike has many similarities with the race-only limited edition Supercar RC 8C. However, this new bike will be completely road legal when indicated by the presence of road essentials such as round LED headlights, indicator lights, mirrors and license plate holders.
Since this is a sportbike, the handlebars have been removed and replaced with a clamp style, although the riding position does not seem too difficult. Hardware seems to be top things like adjustable WP front forks, seemingly Brembo Stylema front brake calipers, and beefy gullwing swingarms. The TFT panel is much larger than the one found on the 890 Duke and resembles the panel found on the 1290 Super Duke R. One point where the parallel twin KTM RC is similar to the 890 Duke is that it shares the same alloy rims cast as Duke. Expect a full set of riding aids to be provided.

Considering the overall rough finish on the parallel-engine KTM RC, a production model is quite a while away. In terms of what it will compete with at launch, this bike will likely be positioned close to, but lower than, bikes like Ducati Panigale V2.
