The next crop of small displacement RC seems to be taking design inspiration from the recently discovered car RC 990 twin cylinder. The multi-layer bib design and insect-like headlight cluster have disappeared, replaced by a more conventional single-layer bib and slit-shaped headlights.

This update will not only be limited to the aesthetic aspect but will also likely feature significant mechanical changes, visible in the form of ‘gullwing’ swingarms, side-mounted monoshock and dynamic housings. redesigned engine. The design of the engine cover seen here appears to be similar to the recently discovered design The next generation KTM 390 Adventure, although it’s not exactly the same, this shows that KTM is still improving the engine’s internals. There have been rumors that the 373cc engine will evolve into a 399cc engine and this will be especially beneficial for the RC 390, which is racing in the lightweight in the WSBK SSP300 class as well as the MotoAmerica championship.

The mechanical changes are also reflected in the under-belly exhaust receiver, as opposed to the side muffler on the current RC 390. The bikes pictured here are rolling on super-sticky Pirelli Supercorsa SP tires, a feature that may not be carried over to the production bike. The wheels seen here appear to be the same units as the current generation RC. What can also be seen here is that the brake hardware has been moved to the right, instead of the left like on the current model.

The next generation RC 390 will be based on third generation 390 platform teeth Released later this year. Traditionally, the RC will come out a year after Duke, but since the heavily updated RC 390 only hit the market last year and the ADV has been out since late 2019, it’s possible the next-gen ADV will sold after Duke. especially since spy shots of that have been in the works for a while while this is a first look at the new RC.
