Korg’s Drumlogue is an analog drum machine with a powerful digital engine
After teasing it for the first time back in January 2021Korg released Drumloguea hybrid drum machine with digital multi-engine and expandability via the logue SDK used in Minilogue XD and other products. It features both analog and digital drum synths and can also play back samples, with the unique ability to add third-party plug-in effects and more – making it one of the best. more versatile drumming available.
As mentioned, Drumlogue features three sound engines, an analog and digital synthesizer, and sample-based instruments. Likewise there’s kick, snare hi tom, and low tom, with controls for decay, tuning, and more.
On the digital side it comes with the Nano virtual analog sync plugin or, you can load multi-tools with VPM synthesis, noise generators, or other custom algorithms via the SDK logue (multi-tools ) found on NTS-1 and other products. It also supports third-party logue plugins that use the Korg SDK. From there, you can use the multi-fx tool to load effects including reverb, delay, equalizer, gain, and compression.
The sequencer provides 64 steps, sequence functionality, and other features. On the connectivity front, it comes with four assignable 6.3mm audio outputs and one audio input for routing external audio through effects. Regardless of the audio input, it doesn’t act as a sampler – you can only play back samples. It’s available for pre-order now for $600 at B&Family photo video and other places.
