Koenigsegg Agera RS – Best Supercar

When the Koenigsegg Agera was introduced in 2010, the Swedes Car company made a name for itself with the limited run CC series introduced a decade earlier. While the Koenigsegg may not have the illustrious history of many of its hypercar rivals, it certainly has a spec sheet to make up for it.
Power comes from an in-house designed 5.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine (rival Pagani uses Mercedes-AMG engine), produces 1,380bhp and peak torque figure of 1280Nm. With a weight of about 1,400kg, achieved in part due to the use of carbon fiber, the Agera RS claims world record for fastest 0-249-0mph timetook a ridiculous 36.44 seconds – five seconds faster than the previous record set by Bugatti Chiron.
The Agera RS also claimed the top speed record at the end of 2017, reaching a dizzying altitude of 277.9mph, 12mph more than the existing record set by Bugatti Veyrom Super Sport – one imagines the team at Koenigsegg is no longer on the Bugatti Christmas card list… Interestingly, Koenigsegg offers a 1 Megawatt engine option, enough power for three. Porsche 911 Carrera GTS’ and has seven Watts to spare. It doesn’t matter if you’ve ever seen one or not, Koenigsegg produces some seriously fast cars.
