Kodak Black demands return of confiscated vehicle and cash after arrest in July in Florida


Kodak Black has asked a court to order police in Florida to return the vehicle and cash they seized during his arrest in July.

Officers allege they dragged the rapper, 25, for driving a vehicle with illegal window tinting and expired tags, and searched the vehicle after smelling marijuana. The search is said to have discovered 31 oxycodone pills and $74,960 in cash.

TMZ reported the Skrt artist’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, has filed papers alleging that the rapper was not engaged in illegal activity.

He told the court Kodak proved the pills were prescribed to treat pain stemming from an incident where he was shot over Super Bowl weekend in Los Angeles and from ongoing pain from being assaulted by guards. hung while in prison.

The conditions allow him to not be under house arrest to work, which is why rapper Tunnel Vision can perform on July 24 at the Rolling Loud Miami show.

According to official records, Kodak, whose real name is Bill Kapri, faces two counts: possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and trafficking of the drug oxycodone.

Oxycodone is a narcotic medication prescribed to treat severe pain and can be highly addictive. If taken in high doses, it can also lead to breathing problems and death.

The rapper is no stranger to breaking the law, and was arrested earlier this year in January for trespassing on Pompano Beach, Florida.

The performer has been arrested on various charges since 2015, including trespassing, robbery, illegal possession of a weapon and sexual assault.

However, Kodak still faces criminal sexual assault charges. After some bargaining, he was sentenced to 18 months of probation.

In early January this year, male singer ZEZE was arrested for violating social networks in his home state of Florida. The arrest came shortly after Kodak finished 90 days at the rehabilitation center after failing a drug test.

The rapper released a track detailing his prison sentence, including the song Last Day In (2021). The tune describes the end of the star’s last day in prison after his sentence was pardoned.
