Klitschko: ‘I saw tortured and executed civilians in Bucha’
Heavyweight boxer Wladimir Klitschko fought against the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Speaking to Radio 5 Live, he said “many civilians died” were “tortured and executed” in Bucha after the Russian forces withdrew.
“I never thought other people could do that to someone who didn’t show any resistance,” he said.
The former world heavyweight champion continues to call on the world to do more to protest Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
“If you remain passive and you just observe what is going on, you are part of this aggression, you are supporting this aggression,” he said, “the blood of the civilian population is on your hands.” You. If you’re observing passively, you need to take an active part.”
