Kim Kardashian’s investment firm hires Brisske from Permira


(Bloomberg) — Skky Partners, the private equity firm co-founded by reality show royal Kim Kardashian, has hired an investment specialist from investment firm Permira.

David Brisske is set to join the company co-founded by Kardashian and Jay Sammons, who have led global retail and consumer investments at Carlyle Group Inc. Brisske, based in New York, will start serving as chief executive in 2023.

A representative for Skky Partners confirmed the appointment while Permira declined to comment.

Brisske is the head of focus on consumer investments at Permira, the company he joined in 2014, according to his LinkedIn profile. Prior to that, he worked at Irving Place Capital, Thoma Bravo and Goldman Sachs Group Inc., Permira’s website says.

Brisske said in an interview: “I spent some time with Kim during the discussion before I joined. “Needless to say, I am extremely impressed with what she has built from a public point of view as an entrepreneur and a cultural icon.”

Skky, founded this year, focuses on consumer and media investments. Kris Jenner, who has been dubbed the mother of the Kardashian clan, is a corporate partner.

“We will build a team of really competent people methodically, who have demonstrated expertise, experience, passion,” said Sammons, who is also a co-managing partner of Skky. passionate and really focused on the direction of the consumer. “David was our first hired investment specialist, with more coming soon.”

Sammons, who has been at Carlyle for 17 years, has been involved in investments including Beats by Dre and Beautycounter.
