Kerala to Qatar in Mahindra Thar: This woman drove to see Lionel Messi

A woman from Kerala, a mother of five and a huge fan of soccer star Lionel Messi, took a solo trip to Qatar in her custom Mahindra Thar to see the team. Her favorite Argentinian soccer team competes at the ongoing FIFA World Cup. Naaji Noushi began his journey from Muscat on October 15 to reach his destination.
She shipped her custom SUV to Oman from Mumbai, making it the first India-registered right-hand vehicle to be shipped into the country. She traveled from Muscat across the Hatta border and stopped near the world’s tallest tower in Dubai, the Burj Khalifa.

She nicknamed her SUV ‘Oolu’, a Malayalam slang word for ‘She’. It has a built-in kitchen and a roof-mounted tent that allows her to cook on the go. “I tried to cook as much as I could. Obviously it saves money and also reduces the risk of food poisoning,” she said.
Khaleej Times reported, when Argentina lost to Saudi Arabia earlier this week, she was very disappointed but still had high hopes for the team’s next match against Mexico. “I just want to see my hero Lionel Messi play. The loss to Saudi Arabia is heartbreaking for me but I’m sure it’s just a minor hiccup on their way to lifting the trophy,” she told the publication.
Noushi also shared his experience of visiting Burj Khalifa for the first time. “That was one of the things on my to-do list when I started this journey – snap a picture in front of the Burj Khalifa.”
She also shared that the support of her family is very important to her every time she embarks on such adventurous trips. “My husband, Noushad, is always supportive of my adventurous trips. While I was away, my mother took care of my five children. This will give confidence to all women,” she said.
