Kentucky woman arrested after finding her mother’s body parts


Authorities arrested a Kentucky woman, Torilena May Fields, earlier this week after discovering the body of her mother, Trudy Fields’ dismembered body, in her Robertson County home. Kentucky State Police confirmed they found the mother’s remains on October 9. EVERYBODY.

Details about the mother’s dismembered body discovered at home

A man hired by Trudy Fields to work on the property notified police about her remains on Oct. 9, according to Courier-Magazine.

Officials discovered the body behind the house, along with bloody items and drag marks in the grass when they arrived. The male maintenance worker told police he last saw Trudy on Tuesday (October 8) and he mentioned that her daughter Torilena May Fields allegedly “cast a spell on them and appeared confrontational” during his visit. Documents show that mother and daughter were believed to be the only people at home that day.

As the Courier-Journal reported, officials discovered that someone had removed multiple body parts from Trudy Fields, which they later found inside a mattress behind the house. While searching the kitchen, investigators also found a stainless steel pot containing human body parts that they believe someone had cooked inside the oven. They claimed the pot felt “warm to the touch” when they found it.

As noted by PEOPLE, authorities attempted to contact the Kentucky woman, later identified as Torilena Fields, who was believed to have been hiding in the house for nearly 12 hours. When she finally walked out, LEX 18 reports that she was said to be covered in blood. Police observed the situation and eventually arrested Torilena on the spot.

Torilena Fields faces charges of obstruction of government operations, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse. PEOPLE revealed that she could face more charges as the investigation continues.

Torilena was finally booked into the Bourbon County Detention Center on Thursday, October 10. The Courier-Journal reports that she is expected to be arraigned on Monday, October 14.
