Ken Griffin moves from Chicago to Miami after filing a crime complaint
Billionaire Ken Griffin is moving its major hedge fund firm, Citadel, from Chicago to Miami, third largest employer announces move company headquarters from Illinois in the past two months.
In a letter to employees on Thursday, Mr. Griffin said he had moved to Florida and that his market-making business, Citadel Securities Company, will also transfer. He wrote that he considers Florida a better business environment, and although he did not specifically cite crime as a factor, company officials said it was a consideration.
