Keith Thurman gives Conor Benn a combat update after ‘had to Google Him’

Six months after his win over Mario Barrios, Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman is ready to join the show and fight upcoming heavyweight opponent, Conor Benn.

Thurman, whose only career loss is the all-time great Manny Pacquiao, tell Fight Hub TV that he is capable of facing the best.

The former uniformed weight champion is said to have prepared his weight and, at 33, is keen to fight before the school year is over. While not too familiar with Benn, he said he wouldn’t shy away from the challenge.

“I had to Google what his face looked like, so I have an image now. Is he a London guy, a European boxer? It looks like he has a decent boxing background, coming from a fighting family.”

“If his management has a contract and a legal pay date. I will fight all the young warriors; I will fight all of them”.

“I love great battles; I love good contracts. So if the money is there on the table, good day, and we can make it happen. I have never fought abroad. It can entice me. “

As for Benn, his immediate future is unclear. His promoter, Eddie Hearn, has confirmed that his star will fight on October 8 at the O2 Arena, with a no-brainer about opponents yet to be announced.

Benn mentioned the Thurman war and no doubt fans will be eager to see it – but with just over eight weeks to go, an announcement will be made soon.

On this side of the pond, Rumors surrounding a fascinating clash between Benn and fellow Brit Chris Eubank Jr keep collecting speed. Hearn says an agreement is “closed” but has yet to be signed.
