Katie Taylor will defend her undisputed world lightweight title against undefeated Argentine Karen Elizabeth Carabajal at OVO Arena, Wembley on October 29.
The Irish boxer, who beat Amanda Serrano in a point thriller in the first women’s competition to win Madison Square Garden in April, will put her in the ranks of the WBC, WBA, IBF titles. and WBO.
She has never fought professionally at home before but there has been speculation about a showdown at Croke Park this year against Puerto Rico’s Serrano or mixed martial arts stars Holly Holm and Cris Cyborg.

Carabajal, who was promoted by former two-division world champion Marcos Maidana, has won all 19 fights since turning pro.
“I was very happy when I received an offer to challenge Katie,” said Carabajal, 32, four years younger than Taylor.
“The hard work paid off. I don’t think about giving Katie a win. All the belts will go back to Argentina with me.”
