Kate Neilson, Wayne Carey’s ex, beats the AFL legend after his white chalk scandal
Actress Kate Neilson has endured a white powder scandal by her ex-fiance Wayne Carey, days after the AFL star was kicked out of a Perth casino for carrying a ziplock bag of white powder.
Neilson, whose tumultuous relationship with former flame Carey, 51, is well-documented, reckons it’s hard for him to learn from his mistakes in an interview with the Herald Sun on Thursday. Three.
‘[Carey] no good track record to learn his lesson. Only time will tell,’ Neilson, 40, said.

Neilson added: “He was like a cat with nine lives.
The North Melbourne legend was kicked out of the Promenade hotel on Thursday night after a ziplock bag of white powder fell from his pocket onto a gambling table.
Carey is said to have been given a two-year ban from Crown’s premises, denied his Triple M radio show and banned from Channel 7’s broadcast of this month’s Brownlow Medal issue.

Carey and Neilson dated for three years before getting engaged in 2009.
In 2007, Carey allegedly ‘smashed glasses’ in the face of his then-girlfriend while the two were dining at a restaurant while on vacation in Miami.
Carey was arrested and charged by Miami police while on vacation with Kate after she alleges he smashed a glass of wine in her face during dinner, slicing her mouth and neck.

Carey later pleaded guilty to two counts of one count of a law enforcement officer and one count of resisting arrest by force.
Neilson decided not to charge him with the incident.
Neilson’s comments to The Herald Sun come hours after Carey broke her silence on last Thursday’s white powder incident.

Speaking to The Age on Monday night, the athlete said the substance in the bag was not illegal, but ‘an anti-inflammatory that he took with dinner’.
‘It was not an illegal substance, it was provided to the security agency. Security didn’t take it,’ he said.
‘They just said it wasn’t a great look, I get that, and we left without incident.’
Carey was in Perth to watch Saturday’s game between the Western Bulldogs and Fremantle.

A Crown spokesperson confirmed the incident to The West Australian, saying ‘a patron was escorted from the premises’ and ‘the incident was handled according to our standard procedures’.
A spokesperson said: “At Crown Perth, our priority is to keep our guests, staff and community safe.
‘As trained professionals, our employees are entrusted with maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for customers and employees, and will take necessary actions to ensure policies are maintained. this book is adhered to.’

With the star being told he now faces a two-year ban from all Crown venues, it means the AFL champion will be barred from attending the Brownlow Medal ceremony hosted by the AFL. The ceremony will be held at the Crown Palladium in Melbourne.
When contacted by The Herald Sun about the incident, Channel Seven chief executive Lewis Martin said: ‘I have spoken to Wayne and he has agreed to stand aside, pending investigation.
Carey added that he has now found another hotel to stay in while in Perth.
A spokesman for Triple M also said the station had agreed with Carey that he would decline while an investigation was conducted.
