For fresh office fashion inspiration, look no further Kate Middleton’s public appearance latest style. On Thursday, the Duchess of Cambridge held a roundtable with government officials to discuss newly published research from her Royal Kindergarten Center. She arrived at the event in London wearing a simple white blouse underneath a pair of pastel pink trousers by Alexander McQueen, one of her designers.
Once a fan of classic footwear, Middleton opted for pink Emmy London boots to complement the subdued hues of her suit. Her accessories include pieces from jewelers Mappin & Webb like a diamond pendant necklace and matching earrings.
In one statementShe commented on how people’s experiences in childhood “fundamentally” impact the rest of their lives, adding that the findings from her organization demonstrate that public they have a “real appetite” to prioritize childhood development.
“There’s so much more we can all do – every member of society can play an important role, whether it’s directly with a child or by investing in adults. around them — parents, caregivers, the workforce in their early years and beyond,” she says.
It’s no surprise that Duchess Kate’s pretty fashion moment in pink is reminiscent of another look from Princess Diana in storied time. In 1989, the late Duchess wore a pink Catherine Walker suit and a matching Philip Somerville hat during a visit to Northampton in England. For the occasion, Diana also chose a matching piece of jewelry as an accessory – though hers was a pearl necklace and pearl earrings.
Middleton’s pink suit is the latest in a series of outfits that match elements of Diana’s style. Earlier this month, to celebrate the Queen Platinum Jubileeshe stepped out in Emilia Wickstead’s pastel yellow ensemble to attend thanksgiving at St. Paul in London. Diana Princess often wore the same shade top when she visited Australia and New Zealand with Prince Charles in 1983. (And, FWIW, Wickstead is a New Zealand-born fashion designer now based in London. .)
