A man from Jammu and Kashmir has been kidnapped by two business partners over a financial dispute worth Rs 55 lakh in Delhi, police said today.

On Thursday, police in Delhi were alerted by a man from the Kashmir valley who informed them that his brother-in-law, Sayed Tariq, had been kidnapped from the Kashmere Gate of the national capital. , Deputy Commissioner of Police, North Delhi, said Sagar Singh Kalsi.

Police began investigating and discovered that two people forced Mr. Tariq into the Maruti Swift. Police tracked the vehicle through CCTV footage and saw the vehicle traveling on GT Karnal Road towards Punjab.

Delhi Police have informed their Punjab counterparts. The man was rescued from Phagwara of Punjab, and the accused was arrested within six hours in a joint operation.

Mr. Tariq is the business partner of the two defendants Nishaar and Imtiaz Ahmed. Police said he borrowed Rs 55 lakh from them but did not pay. All three are residents of the Budgam of Jammu and Kashmir.
