Kane’s hat-trick helped the Oilers put out the fire in game 3
A massive four-goal second phase marked by three goals from Evander Kane shock the host Edmonton Oilers to one Win 4-1 via The Flame of Calgary in game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals on Sunday night. With the win, the Oilers now hold a 2-1 advantage in a best-of-seven series.
Leon Draisaitl and Connor McDavid also played key roles in the win for Edmonton, recording four and three assists, respectively. The man who scored the goal was Mike Smith, who made 32 saves.
Oilers now have two more wins to reach the Conference Finals for the first time since 2006when they reached the Stanley Cup Finals and lost to the Carolina Hurricanes.
Game 4 between Calgary and Edmonton will take place at 9:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
