Based on Daily BeastWilliams initially appeared to react to the news regarding his ex-girlfriend on Monday, July 22. The 68-year-old shared a now-deleted post tweet that seemed to prompt his “media friends” to “think twice about wasting time on a photo that is over 20 years old”.
At the time, Williams did not clarify which image he was referring to.
Shortly after, Williams retweeted a tweet from a strategist named Jonathan Franks. The tweet included a screenshot of an email Franks apparently received asking Williams for comment on President Biden’s endorsement of Harris. The article noted that Franks was Williams’ “media representative.”
“Ask stupid questions, win stupid awards,” Franks wrote in his tweet. “I will do this to every reporter who asks me this creepy, misogynistic question. I have no obligation to be friendly to reporters who ask creepy, inappropriate questions.”

Williams then retweeted his earlier tweet, seemingly endorsing Maryland Governor Wes Moore as the person he wants to see nominated for the Democratic presidential nomination or at least on the ballot.
“I really want to see @iamwesmoore topping the candidate list or on my ballot and I’m ready to campaign. I’ve been following @GovWesMoore leading my home state of Maryland, and I know leadership when I see it,” Williams wrote.

Talk Show Host Speaks on Kamala Harris Nomination from President
In the following hours, Governor Moore shared tweet expressed his support for Harris.

Williams later retweeted Moore’s tweet, seemingly agreeing. However, the talk show host seemed to want to make sure his feelings were heard and understood, so he even shared a screenshot of his retweet.

From there, Williams even retweeted An article published by TMZ accused him of not supporting Harris.
