Kamala Harris has formally accepted the Democratic presidential nomination in the most important speech of her career.
Speaking at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, the US Vice President said her election would “open a new path forward”.
Ms. Harris’s speech received a standing ovation and prolonged applause.
