Kamal Hassan’s House of Khaddar uses a newly invented fabric called Khaddar Denim

After presenting their first collection at Paris Fashion Week in March this year, KH House of Khaddar is back with their latest product, ‘Warp & Weft’. The collection uses a newly invented fabric that rotates denim cotton with raw fabric to create a new fabric – Khaddar Denim.

This sportswear collection dances in parallels – conservative yet playful, unconventional yet sexy, tough yet soft. ‘Warp & Weft’ is a collection that celebrates the return of the Y2K product line. It comes with a shift in perspective, reflecting the post-pandemic triumph of human connection. Joy and optimism are explored in a striking color palette – Fuchsia for dynamism and neon green for strength underpinned by yellow for happiness and orange for reminiscence.

Creative Director Amritha Ram, KH House of Khaddar said: “We find inspiration in those who follow their dreams with courage and conviction, in those who define their own path and in people with an unstoppable passion for life. Each of us is an author of our own story – how you tell it is up to you and this is how Kamal Hassan’s House of Khaddar chose to tell the story of Khaddar to the world”.

KHHK’s ‘Warp & Weft’ includes versatile pieces like miniskirts, bralettes, combos, skirts, blazers and trousers that even work well as dividers. One of the signature styles of this season is the varsity jacket, also known as the Letterman jacket. The varsity style dates back to the 1930s, and the jacket is decorated with patches that traditionally symbolize the school or facility’s initials.
