Junior Galette sues NFL, NFLPA alleges he was blackballed


A former NFL top passer is suing the NFL for allegedly blacking him.

On Tuesday, Junior Galette, who has played six seasons in the NFL, File a lawsuit in United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, according to Pro Football Talk. Galette named the NFL, the NFL Players Association, commissioner Roger Goodell and several of the teams in the lawsuit. The Seahawks, Rams, Raiders, Browns, Chiefs, Panthers and Commanders are the teams listed as defendants.

Galette played from 2010-2014 for the New Orleans Saints. He had 12 bags in 2013 and 10 bags in 2014. In 2017, he played for Washington as a rotating player.

Galette is represent himself in his case. He accused the NFL of blacklisting him “just like Colin Kaepernick and blacklisted BY NFL OWNER.”

He alleges that his comments about the contract Washington has for Trent Murphy, which he claims is an example of racism, led to him being blacklisted.

“I swear to god I don’t play because there is no slave trade. I’ll die before I play for more slave trades,” Galette said of his contract situation with Snapchat in 2018.

Galette, 34, argued for a while with anyone who heard that he was blackballed by the NFL.

In his Twitter profile bio, he speak he’s the “Former Saints Captain gets stoned from the NFL for calling the Pay Discrimination Communities Revolution underway.”

On Wednesday, Galette posted a screenshot on Instagram of his Pro Football Talk story about his lawsuit.
