Via Mark Eisner: Undisputed light heavyweight champion Josh Taylor defends his title tonight against Jack Catterall (26-0, 13 KOs) at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. The card will be streamed live on ESPN+ in the US starting at 2:00 PM ET.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for WBO Catterall #1, and he’s going to make the most of it. Catterall, 28, was reckoned by many boxing fans to be in tonight’s competition and he wanted to show everyone it was good enough to beat Taylor (18-0, 13 KOs).

Taylor told iFL TV on Catterall: “I can’t see how he beat me.
“I don’t care too much about being famous. I don’t know who in their mind wants to be famous, in my personal opinion,” Josh Taylor told Intu Boxing. “I’m fine with being under the radar.
“I like my quiet life. I am an ordinary person. I’m just the best at what I do. Taylor continued.
“I have this background as Sky Sports and across the pond, ESPN, supporting me, building my profile and taking my profile to the next level. So it could just be a good thing for me, yeah.
“He was nervous, it was nervous energy,” Taylor says of his belief that Catterall is nervous. “A few days now and now we are only a few hours away from being able to enter the ring in a big battle, a big fight. So you could say he’s a bit nervous.
Taylor said: “Belittled, I think disrespected. “Nobody has ever done what I did in British boxing.
“A Josh Taylor win. It was a long night for Jack. He’ll also get the outbox, thinking through it. I’ll be two or three steps ahead of him all the way.
Taylor said in predicting the outcome for Catterall: “If it’s going to be long distances, it’s going to be a long, miserable night because he’s going to wake up very sore on Sunday morning.
“I never really got a chance to reflect on my career until the game was locked, and then I got back from Vegas. In Scotland, it is still quite limited. I can’t go out and go to restaurants and things like that.
“I am still relatively closed-minded. Pubs are open but that’s all about social distancing and all that.
“I am sitting at home, having to isolate for a few days after I return. So I have a chance to reflect. I never get a chance to do that because I’m always watching what happens next. My whole career has been one after another.
“After that, I had a moment to sit with my belt on the wall and say, ‘You’ve done well from the moment you started. I did well, I did well. ‘
