Josh McDaniels Rejects Commercial Speculation Josh Jacobs

Josh McDaniels there isn’t any part of the commercial rumors swirling before the NFL season begins.

First year head coach for Las Vegas Raiders was asked on Monday if the team is performing a Pro Bowl one-time rerun of Josh Jacobs in a pre-season game to garner commercial interest from other teams. McDaniels quickly shot down the question.

“We have no desire to do that,” McDaniels stated, via ESPN.

McDaniels went on to explain that he doesn’t think running backwards is practiced enough to simulate games.

“And so I think that’s the goal to be really addressed, taking care of football and getting used to a new system, quite honestly, I think that’s the goal.”

Although the trade rumors seem to be untrue, it is not difficult to see why the speculation started in the first place. The Raiders did not opt for Jacobs’ five-year contract and he is due to be sidelined with an undisclosed injury. Still, it looks like Jacobs is in the Silver and Black colors, at least for the moment.
