Jonathan Bennett no stranger to the holiday movie genre, but Holiday caretaker will always stand out among the rest. The Bad girls alum stars and producers of the new Hallmark film, which is making history as the first LGBTQ-led holiday movie on the network. hollywood life spoke EXCLUSIVELY with Jonathan about this epic moment for him, the network and the representation of gays in the holiday film genre.

I think whenever you take a personal story or a fact and put it on the screen, you find a lot of hearts and you find a lot of humor for people to empathize with.”
The film stars Jonathan as Sam, a workaholic bachelor who is looking after his niece and nephew on vacation. He ends up recruiting some help from his handsome neighbor and sparks start flying between them.
The actor “absolutely” likes to “continue the story of Sam and Jason [played by George Krissa] because fans will love it. I think since this is the first time we’ve seen a cute weird encounter online, it’s important to follow the story and continue the story so you can see the relationship progress.”
Jonathan’s ex Bad girls costar, Lindsay Lohanalso entered the holiday movie universe with her Netflix series Fall for Christmas. Jonathan revealed if he and Lindsay had discussed joining forces in a holiday movie.
“I think we’ve talked about it, but we haven’t really talked about it. However, she and I talked to each other that we wanted to do something together,” he said. hollywood life. “But if we do something together, especially a Christmas movie, I think we don’t want to play lovers because the audience has seen us do it before. So we had to do something new, like play a sibling or best friend. Something different, but I would definitely do a movie with Lindsay any day.”
For a cameo in the upcoming Bad girls music movies, Jonathan completely broke down. “I’ll do anything Bad girls any day, every day, because I owe my life Tina Fey and Lorne Michael.
