Anaheim Ducks goalkeeper John Gibson has been the subject of much talk since the end of the 2021-22 season.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are among the teams on the mid-pipe upgrade market. With The Ducks seemingly years away from playing, and Gibson aging into a costly signing, his name has become a natural fit for his ability in Toronto.
On Sunday, however, Gibson representative Kurt Overhardt cleared the air for his client.
“John Gibson has absolutely no interest in playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs,” Overhardt said via Nick Kypreos of The Fan 590. “He’s committed to the Anaheim Ducks.”
