John Fury blames it all on hearing ‘stop the biggest war in British history’
John Fury sent another message to Eddie Hearn – although he said this would be the last – confirming that fighting talk between his son and Anthony Joshua has officially ended.
The war of words between Tyson Fury’s father and Eddie Hearn has intensified in recent days, as Hearn takes issue with Fury’s insistence that he’s mismanaged Joshua’s career and cost him money.
The eldest Fury has now directly accused the CEO of Matchroom Sport of getting in the way among the negotiations for Joshua to face Fury for the WBC heavyweight belt in December and ultimately to error when the talks broke down.
“I’ll finally put this to bed, with Eddie Hearn and AJ’s situation, and my son. Yes, Eddie, you stopped the biggest war in British history from happening, through no fault of ours. Friend [were] offers everything 60/40 and, like I say, some people just think they’re smarter than they really are. “
“Not me [who has] stop what the fans want – the biggest England witnessed between Anthony Joshua and my son. We’re not to blame, Eddie. You did all this by yourself, man. But listen, what can you say? We will not mention it again. This is it. The final video of the Hearns and the Joshuas. We won’t bother about this anymore because it’s out the window. It’s a war that never happened – and who stopped it? Eddie Hearn. “
