However, Amos himself said TMZ that no one abused him and that he is not currently fighting for his life. The TV star is said to have no idea why her daughter created GoFundMe.
Representative of Amos Belinda Foster told the outlet that he was hospitalized due to fluid filling in his lower body and into his abdomen. The fear of health caused problems with his heart, TMZ reported, but he is said to be in no danger to his life.
In fact, the doctors drained the fluid and Foster says Amos is almost 100% healthy again.

Daughter created GoFundMe with $500,000 goal for father’s health, legal expenses
Last month, Shannon said she received a grief call from her father. The 83-year-old is said to have told her he was at a Memphis hospital.
Shannon did not provide many specifics or reveal who she believes is abusing him. However, she described the culprit as one of Amos’s caregivers, according to GoFundMe.
She created the fundraiser with the aim of helping her father cover legal, care and custody costs after they sought to bring those responsible to justice.
As of Thursday (June 8), the fundraising campaign has raised $3,445 against a lofty goal of $500,000.
It’s unclear what effect this new revelation will have on GoFundMe.
Amos is best known for his role as the adult Kunta Kinte in the landmark miniseries “Roots”, “Good Times” as well as “Coming to America”.
